Gluster 3.1: Gluster Storage Platform Installation Overview

This section provides an overview of how to install the Gluster Storage Platform.

Gluster Storage Platform offers an easy-to-use wizard-based system that streamlines the process of installing the software and configuring the basic settings.

Installing Gluster Storage Platform involves the following steps:

1. Check the minimum system requirements. For more information, see Checking Minimum Requirements.
2. Download the software. For more information, see Downloading the Gluster Storage Platform Software.
3. Prepare the USB-based installation media. For more information, see Preparing the Install Media.
4. Install the first server in your cluster. For more information, see Installing the Initial Server.
5. Log into the Gluster Management Console, and explore the interface. For more information, see Using the Management Console.
